Research published by The American Society for Clinical Nutrition has linked the consumption of dairy products, particularly cow's milk, to insulin-dependent diabetes. Milk contains animal proteins that are highly acidic and can increase calcium excretion through urine. This, in turn, forces the body to draw calcium from the bones to neutralize the acid, leading to weakened bones and added strain on the kidneys.

Further studies have indicated that many people are lactose intolerant, making it more challenging for their bodies to process dairy products. To support kidney health and overall well-being, consider alternative sources of nutrition instead of dairy products. Replace cow's milk with alternatives like rice, coconut, or almond milk, and obtain calcium from green leafy vegetables, seeds, and whole grains.
