At the age of 13 in Sergio Leone's sprawling epic, Once Upon a Time in America, Connelly became well-known as her career blossomed. Then she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for 2001's A Beautiful Mind, following that up with Hulk, House of Sand and Fog, Dark Water, Little Children, Blood Diamond, Reservation Road, He's Just Not That Into You... and so on.

Now she focused on family. Connelly has been married to Paul Bettany since 2003 and they have two children.
