Margot Kidder rose to fame as Lois Lane in the 1978 Superman film franchise. In 1996, she disappeared for four days and was found incoherent and disheveled in a stranger's backyard. At the time, Kidder's manager Camilla Fluxman Pines said Kidder died peacefully in his sleep. Kidder, 69, "died from a self-inflicted drug and alcohol overdose," a statement released by Park County Coroner Richard Wood said and would not release further details.
